TITLE

Connecting OS/2 Warp Connect Peer to a Windows NT System

DESCRIPTION

This document describes how to connect an OS/2 Warp Connect
system to a system using IBM Peer or IBM LAN Requester.

RESOLUTION

1. Make sure the userid is defined on the NT server, and that
the logon is the same as that used to log on to an IBM LAN
Server. A unit using OS/2 Warp Connect Peer defaults to a
  local logon.

2. At a command prompt, type the following and press Enter
(name is the domain name of the NT server):

     LOGON USERID /P:PASSWORD /V:DOMAIN /D:name

If you log on locally (to your own Peer system), make sure
your userid and password are the same as those for the NT
server. This allows you to access NT resources from your
  Peer system.

NT servers have user logon profiles that can be set to give
assignments when the user logs on. The profiles are built using
DOS batch commands (xxxx.BAT). To get the logon profiles to

work from an OS/2 Warp Connect system, the NT administrator must
create a new OS/2 batch file (xxxx.CMD) and remove any
references to DOS batch files.

The CMD file must be located in either of the following:

  \SYSTEM32\REPL\EXPORT\SCRIPTS
  \SYSTEM32\REPL\IMPORT\SCRIPTS
